Funny video squirrel falls out of tree

Funny video squirrel falling out of tree. This is the second time in a week I have seen a squirrel fall out of the tree. Not sure if this one was trying to jump down to the end of the bird feeder or not but it finally made it out of the pond once it got oriented.

Female North American Cardinal

Female North American Cardinal enjoys some sunflower seeds in the bird feeder. I see both the males and female cardinals sometimes together this time of year. But today was just the Female Cardinal at the bird feeder.

Live Bird Cam Watching Birds looking for food on a winter day

Live Bird Cam Watching Birds looking for food on a winter day

Live Bird Cam Watching Birds looking for food on a winter day. Birds looking for food on a winter day. Both our ground feeders and bird feeders was super busy even before sunrise due to about 4 inches of snow over night. There were mourning doves, junco, cardinals on the ground feeder before I hit the record button. These birds need to find food sources in the winter time especially with everything covered in snow.

Fill your feeders with the best bird foods that provide energy. Birds will eat to keep warm during these cold days. Winter can be hard season for many of these birds so keep you feeders refilled with seed. Your bird feeders can attract plenty of birds to your backyard or garden and will help them survive on a winter day.

Cooper Hawk Returns

Cooper Hawk Returns

Cooper Hawk Returns. You wonder why the birds fly off and it gets real calm around your bird feeders. Usually they know when there is danger. As I looked outside the back window I seen the cooper hawk retuned and was sitting on top of the feeder thinking that a bird may just decide to join him. He fell short of his goals at least here today.

With the help of one of my subscribers Wanda, she informed me this was a Northern Flicker. With the big black patch on the front confirms in the description, This is a Northern Flicker feeding on suet though out the day today. Spent most of the time on this suet cake compared to the other two. Seem to be on and off the feeder today enjoying the suet.

How to deter squirrels from bird feeders

How to deter squirrels from bird feeders

How to deter squirrels from bird feeders. Not sure about you but I get so frustrated when I see squirrels controlling your bird feeders. It seems no matter what measures you go to they find a way to get to your bird feeder. Well one solution that seems to help is using Coles Flaming Squirrel Sauce  as you can see in my video they just don’t want anything to do with the feed in the tray. This squirrel keeps coming back to see if it is a better spot but finally gives up. Over all seems to be doing its job, and will provide the birds much more time on the feeders.
